What else is included with registration?

All courses are fully supported with start/finish support, aid station support and on-course support. Each rider receives food tickets for the Food Trucks at the finish line Expo, and a finisher medal. **Free Admission for Family/Friends to the finish line Expo with access to tasty cuisine from our food vendors.

How do I transfer my entry to someone else?

No Transfers after 11/01/2024 $15 transfer fee plus any price difference if upgrading distances. No refund of the price difference if the transfer is to a shorter distance event, such as from 100 mile to 50 mile to 25 mile. You can complete a bib exchange through your RunSignup.com profile.

What is the refund policy?

All entries are non-refundable and rides are held rain or shine.

We encourage you to defer your entry to next year if you can’t make it this year. There is a $15 deferral fee and you will be given a code to enter for next year. You can complete your deferral through your RunSignup.com profile. Here is a tutorial with the steps to complete a deferral. You must take care of deferring at least 10 days prior to the event.

Registration limits and conditions.

Registrations are limited with course limits subject to event organizers. Entry fees are non-refundable. 

Are e-Bikes allowed on this Ride?

Yes! Since this is a road ride, we adhere to the regulations outlined by California State Law. According to the law, Class 1 and 2 e-bikes are permitted to access bike paths, protected bike lanes, and designated bike routes. However, Class 3 e-bikes are prohibited by law from using bike paths or protected lanes, thus they are not allowed on these designated ride routes.

An electric bicycle is a bicycle equipped with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts. Three classes of electric bicycles have been established:

Class 1: A low-speed pedal-assisted bicycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and ceases to provide assistance when a speed of 20 mph is reached.

Class 2: A low-speed throttle-assisted electric bicycle equipped with a motor used exclusively to propel the bicycle and NOT capable of providing assistance when a speed of 20 mph is reached.

Class 3: A low-speed pedal-assisted electric bicycle equipped with a speedometer and a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and ceases to provide assistance when a speed of 28 mph is reached.

Riders must be 16 years old or older.

E-bicyclists must also wear a safety helmet.

Riders cannot travel with a passenger.

E-bicyclists do not need a driver's license or a license plate.

Can I pre-order my jersey?

Ride + jersey combo pricing is not available after 10/5. Jerseys are available for purchase during registration.

All 2024 Bike the Coast jerseys ordered by 10/5/2024 are guaranteed for pick up at the merchandise tent on 11/01 and 11/02.  For all orders made after 10/5/2024, sizes are based on availability. If your size is not available on-site, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery after the event.

How to I switch to a different distance?

You may switch from 100 mile to 50 mile to 25 mile, or vice-versa, and back again, and again.....if you wish. $5 fee per switch plus the price difference if upgrading to a longer distance. No refund of price difference if downgrading to a shorter distance. You can complete an event transfer through your RunSignup.com profile. How do I purchase event photos?

We are offering a photo package for $20 through Endurance Sports Photo. With this package, you can download up to 25 web resolution images (sized at 960x640 pixels) taken by Endurance Sports Photo on the Event Day. These images are perfect for sharing on all your social media platforms. If you do not purchase the package you can purchase photos directly through this page after the event.

How do I purchase merchandise?

Merchandise is sold through the registration process. If any registrants would like to add merchandise after registration is complete, it can be added through their RunSignup.com profile. Here is a tutorial with the steps to purchase merchandise after registration. 

How do I purchase a VIP package?

The VIP package is listed as an additional purchase for the regular and combo rides. If a registrant wants to add the VIP option after registration is complete, complete the merchandise purchasing steps above.
